NAMI Family-to-Family Educational Program
This is a free, twelve-week course for families and friends of individuals who have a mental illness. The course is taught by family members who have lived with this experience. Topics include: family response to the trauma of mental illness, diagnosis and dealing with critical periods, problem-solving, review of medications, communication skills, and recovery services available. All course materials are furnished at no cost, compliments of NAMI.

NAMI Plain Community Family-to-Family Educational Program
This free, twelve-week course is similar to our “English” version, but taught by local Plain Community family members. Conversations may be in Pennsylvania Dutch. Classes are usually held in the Holmes County area. Please call our Education Coordinator at 330-264-1590 to register.

According to Ohio Revised Code 121.37(B)(1)(a-n), each board of county commissioners must establish a county FCFC. The board may invite any local public or private agency or group that funds, advocates, or provides services to children and families to have a representative become a permanent or temporary member of its county council. Each county council must also include mandated, ex officio members.
